Thank you for this opportunity to introduce you to First Covenant Trust & Advisors. We’re excited you’re here and look forward to serving your family.
First Covenant Trust & Advisors was founded to help people care for their loved ones when they are no longer able to do it themselves. Our mission is to do this by providing fiduciary services in the same individualized, professional, caring cost-effective manner as we would want those services provided to us and our families. The result is peace of mind for our clients, security for their families, and preservation of their legacy.
First Covenant focuses on delivering a wide range of fiduciary services in a way that is focused on relationships. Because of relationship orientation, we’re able to provide both responsive and proactive service that is specific to each client and circumstance. We make things as easy as possible on beneficiaries (who are often initially interacting with us in the context of the loss of a loved-one) though clear and ongoing communication, prompt and professional administration, education about how trust and estate administration works, and what to expect during the process. This can also serve to minimize the possibility of family discord and litigation.
The services we provide also allow families to preserve their legacy by providing a platform for communicating to beneficiaries about the origins of, and goals for, family wealth, as well as legal structures to protect and preserve that wealth. First Covenant’s team can be utilized to help design and/or to administer estate plans that provide transfer and income tax efficiency and asset protection.
Our approach is designed to be advisor friendly. We want to provide administrative services that complement—not compete with—the services that attorneys, financial advisors, CPAs, insurance professionals and bankers provide their clients. We think this is the best of all worlds. It’s good for advisors as it provides an avenue to continue existing relationships with clients and their descendants, and allows us as trustee to lean on other advisors with a longer history with the clients and their family. Most importantly it’s a win for clients because their professional team is cooperating and bringing their respective spheres of expertise to bear in service to the client.
One of our distinctives is our ability to be flexible. We bring this flexibility into planning situations with an ability to find creative solutions to issues faced by our clients. We are flexible in our approach to administering alternative assets, including intellectual property, real estate and closely held entities. We are also evaluate fee structures on a case-by-case basis to ensure that fees are appropriate for the situation, while making adjustments as necessary.
